The President of the Regional Government of the Azores, José Manuel Bolieiro, will attend the opening of the Lisbon Travel Market (BTL) on Wednesday morning, accompanying the regional companies featured at the event dedicated to a fundamental sector for the country’s economy.
With a 729 m2 pavilion located in pavilion 1 of FIL – Lisbon Exhibition and Congress Centre, shared by Visit Azores and the Association of Municipalities of the Azores Autonomous Region, the Azores will be represented by 30 companies associated with Visit Azores, in addition to the 19 municipalities of the Azores Autonomous Region.
Travel agencies, hotel groups, rent-a-car and tourist entertainment companies will be among the dozens of Azorean companies representing the Azores at the BTL.
The Azores brand will also be featured at the fair with tastings of regional products and showcookings, one for each island of the archipelago.
The Regional Secretary for Tourism, Mobility and Infrastructures, Berta Cabral, and the Regional Director for Tourism, Rosa Costa, will also visit the fair.
The event will take place between Wednesday and Sunday at FIL – Lisbon Exhibition and Congress Centre, Parque das Nações.
The first two days will be exclusively dedicated to professionals from the sector and the weekend days to the public in general, showcasing the tourism products of the Portuguese regions and the international destinations featured at the event.
