The former member of the Azorean Parliament, Mónica Seidi, was sworn yesterday, at the Regional Legislative Assembly, as the new Regional Secretary for Health and Sport of the XIII Regional Government of the Azores.
Speaking to journalists after the swearing-in ceremony in the city of Horta, the government official stressed that focus will be given to “the greatest goal of the Regional Health Service,” all health users in the Region and all Azoreans who need health care.
“We intend to continue the work that has already begun with a view to improving careers” in the sector, said Mónica Seidi, who also offered words of encouragement to the Azorean firefighters and to the entire sports sector, as she will also oversee these areas.
“I have full autonomy for governance, pursuing the Programme of the Government. I took office today. I am here to govern,” said the Regional Secretary.
