The Regional Secretary for Finance, Planning and Public Administration, Duarte Freitas, emphasised today the Regional Government’s commitment to business progress and administrative efficiency with the opening of the Integrated Citizen Support Network (RIAC) and the Integrated Entrepreneurial Support Network (RIAE) office on Terceira Island.
This new RIAC/RIAE space is in line with the investment that the Regional Government has been making in improving the conditions of the RIAC offices and implementing the project to bring entrepreneurs closer to the Azores through the Integrated Entrepreneurial Support Network, thus creating synergies and optimising public resources.
The Integrated Entrepreneurial Support Network is an executive measure designed to mitigate difficulties in accessing information while promoting the simplification of the system and a proximity-based approach.
For Duarte Freitas, the opening of the RIAC – RIAE on Terceira Island “consolidates the Government’s commitment to modernisation and administrative efficiency. It also lays the foundations for a symbiotic relationship between the public and business sectors, fostering an environment conducive to the economic and sustainable growth of the Azores.”
After the opening of the Region’s first RIAC – RIAE on the island of Pico and now on Terceira, the government official announced that “the Regional Government will open another five offices in the Region by the end of the year.”
Duarte Freitas also pointed out that the four notices for the Construir 2030 Incentive System under the Azores 2030 Programme have been published, with the last notice for the Structural Business subsystem being published yesterday.
“At the moment, Azorean companies and entrepreneurs have the most important tool of the new generation of business policies at their disposal,” he said.
